Gliding in the Scottish Highlands

The Cairngorm Gliding Club is based at Blackmail airstrip, Feshiebridge, Kincraig.  Flights over the Cairngorms are available in a modern dual control glider with a qualified instructor, guaranteeing maximum enjoyment of this new sensation. Silently riding the thermals, entirely dependent on the weather, this must be what it feels like to be one of the rare ospreys that visit these skies swooping suddenly to the waters below for their ‘catch’. Not an activity one would associate with the Scottish Highlands, gliding is one of the more obscure sports available to the enthusiast.  Though not a poor man’s sport – there is always an opportunity for a ‘one off’ experience.
